Located high upon a hill in Tuscany, this luxury 15th century villa towers over the extensive plain situated close to Florence. It is surrounded by 38 hectares of private parkland, accentuated with fountains and ponds containing fish, waterways running through the gardens, a tennis court and a long swimming pool ideal for serious swimmers. The garden around the house is filled with hydrangea bushes, plant boxes and roses which adorn two elegantly furnished and comfortable outside areas. In one of these areas there is a romantic arbour fitted with a table for eating al fresco to which there is direct access from the kitchen. The kitchen is the second in the house and is located in the basement.
With an arbour forming a tunnel of green, a small fountain containing goldfish and a professional barbeque, the garden is indeed a very special area. In another area of the garden, there is an open-air living room with a breath-taking view of the surroundings.
In addition to the considerable and stunning outlooks, courtesy of the geographical position, the villa also has an extraordinarily spacious feeling. Recently restructured by an architect and decorated with Beidermeier furniture of the highest quality, Laconia is extremely elegant, in the main house where there are four bedrooms, in the guesthouse which is situated opposite for use as a suite and in the newly built annex for 4 people. Available to answer any queries or requests at certain times during the day are a couple (a waitress and a gardener) who live in the area behind the guest house. This house has its own independent entrance to ensure maximum privacy for guests.
