The atmosphere at Morolo is enchanting: it is an elegant country house opposite a large 150 hectare estate at the gates of Rome, along the ancient Roman Flaminia road. The Eternal city can, in fact, be reached in a 30 minutes car journey.
On entering the majestic, electric gates, the estate is immediately visible in all its glory: the spectacular beauty of the private park along which an avenue of trees leads to an old manor house and towards villa Morolo.
In the past, this large estate belonged to the Borghese family, it was the Pope's family estate, and now it is owned by an aristocratic Roman family. The trees, the modelled hedges and the avenues of trees that cross the marvellous park all bear witness to an ability to model and preserve the beauty of the country side.
Two other villas complete the estate: one is an old villa, rarely visited at weekends; the other, villa Doganella, may also be rented together with Morolo to provide space for groups of up to 16 guests. Due to the distances between the villas, absolute privacy may be guaranteed. Each villa also has its own outdoor areas and private gardens. The distances are such, that neither of the other two villas can be seen from Morolo. Morolo has a private swimming pool and a tennis court which is shared between the guests at Morolo and the very rare visitors to the other two villas. The location of the tennis court is enchanting, surrounded by a landscaped and well kept garden and old trees.
The villa comes with a maid service for 6 days a week. The maid will prepare breakfast. On request, it is possible to request a cook and extra maid service as well as a transfer. The garden has a vegetable garden which the guests can help themselves to. Children will also be happy: there is a lovely fenced area with some animals such as small mules and sheep. The villa is within easy reach of the motorway, in fact only a 20 minutes drive. This large estate really is a green paradise at the gates of Rome!
