Umbria Jazz
Perugia hosts one of the most important jazz festivals in the world - “Umbria Jazz” - which is held every year in July. During Umbria Jazz the entire historical centre with its little clubs and theatres, streets and piazzas comes alive with a magic, electrifying atmosphere, where the city becomes a melting pot of music, history and architecture. For the whole ten days of the festival the centre becomes a citadel of music with shows and concerts that take place at every hour of the day and night from midday onwards: in the piazzas, many of the shows are free.

Eurochocolate
In October Perugia becomes paradise for chocolate lovers with Eurochocolate, a festival attracting thousands of people from all over Italy to learn all there is to know about chocolate and taste it in every shape and form.
From the 13th to the 21st of October, Perugia is the world capital of chocolate. Any kind of chocolate for any taste: Dark, milk, candy, pudding and chilli chocolate: you can have it as you like and as you dream. A special occasion to visit this city which, beyond this event, has a strong tradition of chocolate production. In these days it will be a bit crowded with tourist-gourmands, but Perugia is a lovely town, to be visited any month of the year.
