"Let me make this simple for you: if you’re on this listing’s page, and if this place is still available, stop searching and book this listing now. I have stayed in hundreds of homes and hotel rooms. Nothing has topped this place. Staying at Monalisa is an experience in itself: this is luxury meshed with history in a creative and unique way that is unmatched. This historical home was renovated over 7 years of hard work to create something you won’t experience elsewhere. A few notes: - This luxury home is incredibly high-end from top to bottom. The finishes are high-end and can be felt every time you sit on a piece of furniture or use an appliance. - The view is out of this world. Couple that with an incredible balcony overlooking parts of tuscany and you have the perfect resting area — day or night. Grab a book and a glass of wine, or sit back and listen to your music echo through the house thanks to the sound system. - Speaking of the view, the sunrise and sunset is something else. I recommend keeping the curtains open at night. You’ll go to bed with the distant lights of the next Tuscan town softly gleaming back at you. Better yet, you’ll wake up with the most beautiful of sunrises. For four mornings straight, I was greeted with a blend of pink and orange in the sky. - The bed is super comfortable! - There are three showers in the home, all of them with massive rainfall shower heads. I’m not kidding when I say that you’ll struggle to leave the shower, especially the one next to the indoor pool. They’re so relaxing! - The indoor pool is incredible. You’ll want to end every single one of your days in it. There’s also a speaker in the room so that you can play your music as you relax in the water. –
The town of San Miniato is incredible and is an absolute highlight. It has great food and is a very lively town at night. Ristorante Maggese has beautiful, creative food that tastes as good as it looks. Ethan’s is a super cool bar with a local mixologist running it, and he’ll create the most delicious drinks for you. If you have a car, you are about 45 minutes away from some of the coolest spots in Tuscany, the beautiful beaches of Forte dei Marmi. Lastly, manager, Giovanni, is one of the more amazing people I have had the chance to meet. He is caring, thoughtful, and full of energy and passion. In a few short days, you’ll feel like you’ve known him for years. You’ll call him a friend when you leave.including He will walk you through everything you need to know about his home and will provide you with spot-on tips on food and drinks in the town and its surroundings. He’ll check in with you to make sure all is well and will take care of any bookings for you. You’ll be treated like a true local (and at times, like a VIP) when people know you know Giovanni. In other words, you’re getting a top-notch home with a top-notch host when you book this place. It’s the most incredible combination. I could write an entire review about how fantastic he is. If you’ve made it this far in my review, my hope is that you’re already excited to experience this place for yourself. It is even more stunning and amazing than the pictures. Book it and get ready for an experience of a lifetime."

"My wife my baby and I specifically went to San Miniato to stay at Monnalisa, needless to say we had really high expectations after seeing the photos. But those high expectations were surpassed in every way. We were greeted by Giovanni in the traditional Italian square where the flat is situated. Giovanni is incredibly warm and friendly and made us feel at home immediately. He took us into the apartment block, which is again a very traditional and large Italian building. However, totally unexpectedly once in the flat you really feel that you could be in a Brooklyn apartment. Every area of Monnalisa has had a huge amount of creativity, love, thought and time spent on it. I won't go into too much detail as Giovanni can explain it far better than I, but the the peroperty really seems to reflect his personality and his travels around the world. To quickly feel back in Italy all you have to do is open the large windows or sit on the beautiful balcony and look at the view and listen to the church bells. The apartment sits at the top of a shallow valley and in the mornings we would leave the curtains open and watch the mist roll into the valley and up to the apartment, all from the comfort of our bed. There are three amazing showers, the one downstairs feels especially luxurious, the kitchen is well equipped and modern and comes with a generous welcome package, and I've not even mentioned the pool...........GO."

"This is a truly amazing place to stay. It lies behind the facade of an ordinary building on a quiet square in San Miniato but once through the bank-like vault of a door to the apartment, you will be blown away by its size, stylish simplicity and stunning views across vineyards to the distant hills. We were also lucky to be able to spend a bit of time with host, Giovanni, and he couldn't have been more attentive, responsive and focused on ensuring we had the very best time. I couldn't rate our experience any higher."
