Comments: This was definitely one of our favorite villas to rent. Great house, lots of space, and in a great location. The villa chefs were amazing, such wonderful people and wonderful food.

Comments:
Positives: The building itself was a work of art. You can feel it as you move through the rooms. The owners did a magnificent restoration. Original features have been preserved and you only have to look up to see wood beams or other stunning architecture. The lighting throughout is well planned. The exterior and landscaping light makes for spectacular photos of the villa and grounds at night. There are wonderful large windows on one side that swing open allowing you to step outside or just take in the stunning and expansive views. Speaking of views, we couldn’t get enough of them. The ever-changing light of the Tuscan skies, the mist in the early mornings and the setting sun, painting the skies beautiful pastel colours, never got old.
We appreciated the housekeeper, Isabelle. She was a delight. Always smiling and as helpful as she could be. We don’t speak Italian and she doesn’t speak English. Thank goodness for Google Translate! She does an excellent job. It was always nice to arrive back to the villa and see your bed made up to perfection and the bathrooms cleaned.
There are many amenities to enjoy at this villa. The pool is large, the gardens have roses, lavender, rosemary, etc. We made good use of the gym and inside spa pool. There were many spaces to gather but our favourite was the loggia. This covered outside space was where we had almost all meals and gathered throughout the day. It afforded shade and a breeze when it was hot in the day and at night, it was well lit and with all the candles provided, created a romantic setting for a late dinner.
Our guests appreciated their bedrooms, each decorated and furnished differently and their own bathroom. The bathrooms themselves are beautiful and each is unique.
We loved our chef dinners, especially our Wednesday pizza nights. The original pizza oven was fired up and the smell of the woodsmoke travelled to us in the loggia as we anticipated the arrival of the first round of pizzas.
When we asked for something that we though was missing, it was provided. For example, the pool area had no tables for a drink or a book. Several days later, four tables arrived for this purpose. We very much appreciated that.
Improvements: The villa was missing a few things that would be helpful. Perhaps the owner would consider added a few more tools for those of us who love to cook. There are two ovens with amazing features that inspire us home cooks, but we were missing things like measuring utensils. Maybe they can have one of their chefs who come have a thorough check and make suggestions. The villa driveway. is difficult to find. Maybe a sign is a good idea."

Villa location: Excellent location in southern Tuscany. Easy access to services in the nearby small village of Sarteano.
Good start point to visit the magical scenery of Val d' Orcia and nearby villages like Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, Siena.
Staff in the villa: Isabel was very kind and helpful. Vittoria, the owner, was always available on WhatsApp to address any issue.

Comments:  We truly enjoyed our stay in Villa Saracino. The house is elegantly renovated and decorated and has big windows overlooking the tuscan fields.The big garden is amazing and is ideal for big families and big groups of friends. We also enjoyed having our meals in the veranda.''
