The villa is the result of a meticulous renovation of the original mill dating back to the XIII century, whose ruins were restored to the highest standards while remaining faithful to the original structure. The fully air-conditioned property is elegantly furnished and features two bedrooms with en suite marble bathrooms, a private underground Jacuzzi within the ancient vault of the mill, a sauna, a private outdoor pool and an outdoor hot tub with a view of the stream. Maltese also boasts a terrace with a pergola where to enjoy peaceful alfresco meals accompanied by the sound of the river. For a taste of authentic and genuine Umbrian cuisine revisited in a modern style, guests can easily reach the estate restaurant, located only seven kilometres from the villa. The estate is renowned for its thousands of hectares of immaculate woods and olive groves and for its superb valleys, lakes and rivers, offering the perfect location for peaceful walks, fishing sessions and trekking experiences. At thirteen minutes from villa Maltese, golf lovers will find the famous golf club Antognolla designed by the architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. Some of the most fascinating medieval towns in both Umbria and Tuscany are within an easy drive, as well as Lake Trasimeno with its wide choice of water sports.
