Sitting on the top of a hill facing the charming medieval town of Todi, in Umbria region, this luxury home for rent offers a comfortable stay for all those seeking relaxation and an authentic Italian experience. Designed to be a family friendly villa, this deluxe home features various outdoor sitting areas, suiting different hours of the day as well as a small open-air cinema. Villa Ebe is located in the peaceful and lush Umbrian nature and offers vast views on the surrounding countryside as well as breathtaking sunsets that it is possible to enjoy while sipping an evening cocktail from one of the outdoor sitting areas.
The entire property comprises a partially fenced-in garden, the main three-level home hosts four bedrooms, and the guest house, at a few meters of distance, is furnished with one double bedroom, a small living area and a kitchenette. In addition to the infinity swimming pool, there is a gym on the lower first floor and a table tennis table. From villa Ebe, there are plenty of charming and historic places of tourist interest that are worth a visit such as Todi, Orvieto, Spoleto, Assisi. The surrounding countryside invites to endless walks in the wonderful forests, it is possible to experience horse riding and run along biking paths. For those who prefer more exciting activities, rafting in the Marmore waterfalls is well recommended; Umbria has so much to offer also to wine lovers such as vineyards visits to Montefalco, Orvieto and Bevagna.

Service while on trip: The Home In Italy staff were great when we were on trip, the owners of the villa were also very attentive and helpful
Villa location: The most lovely setting, with incredible views across the hills towards the town of Todi. The views were one of the best we have seen. We were glad there were a couple of the larger towns nearby for us to visit. The large supermarket was very convenient and 20 minutes away which was fine.
Staff in the villa: The maid came on Wednesday morning, and she did a quick clean of the bathrooms. She also came to help when we had one of the chefs. We felt that the final clean charge and the A/C charge should not be an extra, these should be included in the villa rental price.

How would you rate Home in Italy services?: Excellent service but wish I had been given more transparency about the general standard of the house interiors.
Comments:
Overall, we had a great time at the property, however, we have quite a lot of feedback as we were quite disappointed with several elements, which should have been updated/improved and therefore our experience would have been much better. The views of the house, the setting, the pool area, the gym, and the layout of the house were all great. The grounds were very nicely kept, the pool was nice and clean, and we were pleased to have mosquito nets and A/C in the bedrooms. The owner offered us their house-made olive oil which was delicious, and she was very helpful and attentive. We enjoyed meeting them. We made the most of the surrounding area, visiting towns and restaurants nearby.
However, the interiors – especially the kitchen – which is the hub of the house especially for a large family, were worn out, definitely well below the standards we were expecting and therefore brought down our experience of the house overall. The appliances were all so out of date. The fridge was too small, old and totally in need of an update. The coffee machines –e.g. the Nespresso machine was too small for a large house and appeared old, it was leaking non-stop. The dishwasher – an essential machine to have at a large house – was very old, and kept falling apart and even the chefs commented on how un-user-friendly it is. Needs to be replaced! The pantry area was very dark, no storage space for groceries. Overall, the house felt like it was equipped with cheap items and cheap equipment – this was a real let down for us as we have stayed in so many villas in Italy and France and were quite disappointed by this as the kitchen and other elements of the house are so important - especially for families with kids, like us. The bathrooms were not as up-to-date as we had been told/expected. We had to have the plumber come out to work on the water pressure. The master bathroom shower tray was either clogged or the tray is too shallow as the water was leaking out every time we had a shower, making the room very wet! The towels felt old and very very dry in texture. The interiors could definitely do with a refresh and updating.

"Exquisite views. Elegant and comfortable spaces. Easily accommodated 6 adults with plenty of room to spare. We especially enjoyed the two terraces.
One off the kitchen in the morning for coffee in the sun with views of the woods. The other all the way across the back under the shade of the beautiful vine covered pergola. This was our afternoon and evening haven with views of wheat fields, olive groves and vineyards and the beautiful town of Todi in the distance."

Settled in a valley in Umbria which has to be the most beautiful with views that take your breath away. The house is perfect to enjoy it all, terraces and views from the house capture the beauty at different times of the day.
