The village of poets in Portovenere
Wagner, Eugenio Montale and many others chose Portovenere as a place of vacation and inspiration: like Lord Byron, who loved to contemplate the caves of the village that today bear his name.
The name of this Ligurian village of Portovenere suggests a romantic atmosphere: the legend tells that the goddess Venus was born right here, from the sea foam.
A stone's throw from the Cinque Terre, Portovenere is one of the most picturesque villages in Italy. The romantic pastel-colored atmosphere of the houses on the shore of the Gulf of Poets has always fascinated artists from all places and times. In Portovenere, the Church of San Pietro, with its characteristic black and white stripes, is a must to visit.

Trip on the Grand Canal in Venice
The gondolas, the canals, the lagoon, and the beautiful St. Mark’s Square are the ideal place for a declaration of love, for a honeymoon, or simply to spend hours in the pleasant company of your loved one.

Castel dell’Ovo, Naples
Let's move to another castle, in the heart of Naples: Castel dell’Ovo. There are many legendary love stories set in this incredible location, such as the one between the siren Partenope - from which the other name of Naples derives - and the shipwrecked Ulysses: a tragic unrequited love that led the mermaid to die among the rocks of the Megaride islet, where Castel dell’Ovo stands today.
A few steps from the seafront, there is another fortification full of charm: the Castel Nuovo, better known as the Maschio Angioino.
If you stay at one of our luxury villas for rent in the Amalfi Coast, we suggest you not to miss this unique and enchanting city. It will remain in your heart!
